B.A. L.L.B. (Hons.)

B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) is an integrated course comprising of ten semesters spread across five years at the completion of which the student earns a graduate degree in law. In this course the student will study Law subjects along with subjects such as Political Science, Economics, Sociology, etc. This course will enable the student to grasp the conceptual and operational aspects of the various laws and legal principles and their operation in the society. At the completion of the course the students will be able to integrate theory and practice. The course will enable the students to develop their skills and transform them into competent legal professionals.

PO1. Students will be able to discuss and reflect upon legal matters and present their individual view confidently and with the support of logical arguments.
PO2. The students will be able to critically analyse the various procedural and substantial laws.
PO3. The students will be able to draft the various documents especially concerning legal affairs.
PO4. The students will be able to demonstrate skills of pleadings in different matters e.g. civil, criminal, consumer, Tax etc.

PSO2. The students will be able to demonstrate skill of drafting plaints, petitions, use of legal languages in legal practice, counselling and negotiations along with the logical argumentative skills.

PEO-1 Law graduates will carry the habit of research in their professional activities.
PEO-2 Law graduates will derive two-fold benefit of exposure to the concepts of humanities and justice and knowledge of law.
PEO-3 Law graduates will develop a sense of responsibility to serve the society through their professional skills in advocacy.
PEO-4 Law graduates will be prepared as lawyers for handling legal issues within the national boundaries and across cross-border transactions for which legal skills will be developed in core areas, such as Civil Laws, Criminal Laws, and Business Laws and will be trained in problem visualization, analysis, and planning for its solution.
PEO-5 Law graduates will be enriched with comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge, lawyering skills and research to meet the contemporary challenges.
